Light in the Darkness

Hard times can fall on anyone. Though I know from personal experience some have a harder life than others. Some things may of happened to you or your family that was out of your control. Maybe that is what opened doorways to you of a dark path like myself. Even amidst the struggle whether that is abuse, addiction, grief, loss, and/or mental illness, God is always with you. Whether you choose to accept Him or not is up to you but He is always waiting, pursuing you even when you are in the darkness. He is the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have been through it all abuse, addiction, grief, and self harm. Every time I thought I hit rock bottom I kept sinking lower. I thought maybe a little more drugs would help or a little more money or love would help. I always felt empty inside. No matter how much partying I did or how many drugs/alcohol I consumed. No matter how many men wanted to be at my side I never felt truly happy. I didn’t understand the meaning of life. I was lost but I kept hearing a voice whispering you are not alone I am here if you would choose me I will never leave or forsake you.

You are probably thinking this sounds too good to be true. I assure you it is real. The Lord redeems sinners like me and you everyday. If he will pursue an addict like me believe me He wants you too. God made us in His image because He loves us and wants to dwell with us forever. Before we were born God knew us and loved us. You didn’t happen by chance you were not an accident or mistake you were fearfully and wonderfully made. Your life is not meaningless or pointless you have a great purpose and a Father who loves you unconditionally.

Not only does God know us and love us He gave us free will. That means we have every right to pick and choose to live the life we decide. I warn you though, out of love because I do not want to see any of my brothers or sisters suffer, only one pathway leads to everlasting life and that is through Christ Jesus.

Jesus knows you all of your sin and loves you anyways. When he was on the cross dying as a perfect man for our sins He said “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.” He gave His life willingly for us because He loves us so much. The Father loves us so much He gave his one and only son to die for us. So that if we so choose to believe in Jesus Christ burial and resurrection in 3 days and repent of our sins and live a life pleasing to God we can one day go to heaven and live in perfect peace and harmony.

As long as you are still breathing it is not too late for you. No matter how many years you have strayed. I was lost in a cycle of active addiction and abuse for over a decade. I grew up in church I had heard of God and Jesus before but I never truly submitted to Him after I gave my life to Christ. I was transformed overnight even though I was still tempted at times I never fell back into the same patterns because Christ was with me protecting me, loving me, and always by my side. God is so good and now I want to tell others about Him and what He did for me and how He can save you too. Please if you have any questions or prayer requests/praise reports click the link below.
